Agreement

Booking creates a binding reservation.

When we confirm your booking and you pay your hold deposit, you and Waterfront Lodge enter into an agreement on the terms set out here and in your reservation confirmation. The lead guest must be at least 25 years old and is responsible for everyone in their party.

Payments

Hold deposit, balance, and fees.

A $500 refundable hold deposit secures your dates. Your remaining balance is due 30 days before check-in, unless your proposal states otherwise. We accept major cards through Stripe; on-site purchases may be added to your final folio.

Refund and rescheduling rules live in our cancellation policy.

The Property

Use it like it's yours — for the week.

The lodge, lake, trails, and amenities are reserved exclusively for your party during your stay. We ask that you respect the land, wildlife, and quiet hours (10pm–7am), and that the maximum occupancy in your reservation is honored at all times.

Smoking is permitted only in designated outdoor areas. Open flames outside provided fire pits are not allowed. Pets are welcome by prior arrangement only.

Damages

Honest accidents are fine. Negligence isn't.

Normal wear is part of hosting. If something breaks, just let us know. The hold deposit covers minor damage and extra cleaning. For significant damage, lost keys, or violations of our occupancy or event terms, additional charges may apply to the card on file.

Events & Guests

Day visitors require approval.

Yoga retreats and corporate offsites are scoped in your proposal — including facilitators, caterers, and day visitors. Bringing additional guests, hosting events, or commercial activities not disclosed at booking require our written approval.

Liability

Wilderness comes with risk.

The property includes a private lake, trails, fire pits, and uneven terrain. Guests participate in all activities at their own risk, including swimming, paddling, hiking, and use of the sauna. We carry standard hospitality insurance; we recommend you carry personal travel and health insurance for your stay.

To the extent permitted by law, our maximum liability under this agreement is limited to the amounts you paid for your reservation.

Force Majeure

Events outside our control.

Neither party is liable for failure to perform due to events outside reasonable control — severe weather, fire, flood, power or water failure, government action, or public health restrictions. In these cases we'll work with you on a date change or credit, as outlined in our cancellation policy.

Governing Law

New York law applies.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts seated in Albany County, New York.
